Langham Partnership has always been committed to building up the Church through the ministry of God’s Word. This has been done through the three core programs — Langham Preaching, Langham Scholars, and Langham Literature.
Our latest devotional booklet “What Child is This? Advent Reflections on a Genealogy of Hope” consists of contributions from over twenty Langham scholars and ministry partners from around the globe. We seek to share God’s salvation plan and His amazing grace through the retelling of the stories of the characters in Jesus Christ’s genealogy. Among the contributors are two Langham scholars from Hong Kong — Dr Patrick Chan (General Secretary of the Hong Kong Campus Crusade for Christ), and Dr Josaphat Tam (Vice President of Evangel Seminary), who is also a Board Member of the Langham Foundation.
Dr Christopher J.H. Wright, the International Ambassador for Langham Partnership, has written the introduction to this book. He shares that “the climax of the Messiah’s earthly ministry is seen in Jesus sending His followers to make disciples of all nations.” This reminds us that the mission of God is still ongoing, and we have to carry out God’s mission with diligence. Langham Partnership is one of many who participate in this great mission. Langham Foundation, based in Hong Kong, is also a member of this global movement, sharing in the same vision and mission.
This booklet is available in both Chinese and English for download from our website. Feel free to share it with others as a gift. We hope the message of this booklet will bring blessings to many.
Wishing you peace in this Advent season, and a joyful Christmas!
