‘Without Langham Writers’ grant, this would’ve been impossible!’

A Langham grant has enabled the husband of a current Langham Scholar to release a book which challenges false views of Christ in the Ethiopian Church. Paulos Fekadu – married to Sofanit Abebe who is studying at Edinburgh University – received a Langham Writers’ Grant two years ago to complete the book in Amharic. The book, ‘Son of God’, has recently been printed in the…

“Praise God for this new form of training!”

Langham’s work training and resourcing pastors around the world has adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic. In many cases, seminars are taking place over virtual platforms. Last year, a new group of 30 pastors in a sensitive region of South Asia began training with Langham. We praise God that these pastors were able to gather virtually. Their local pastor trainer shares: “Praise God for the ability to use this…

Introducing Barbara Tumwine

Barbara Tumwine, together with her husband, Paul, are the preaching movement coordinators in Uganda. How did Jesus find you? Jesus found me in 1994, while I was participating in a Scripture Union conference which was taking place at the secondary school I attended. Originally from Madagascar, Solomon was an integral part of Langham’s publishing work since its inception. This included being the general editor of both the Malagasy (Madagascar language) and French editions of the Africa Bible Commentary (ABC). He was a New Testament editor of the original ABC. He was…

Myrto Theocharous

Taking research onto the streets

Dr Myrto Theocharous asks me to imagine if God had a business card, what it would say. “When I introduce myself I say, ‘I’m Myrto Theocharous and I’m a Professor of Old Testament.’ When God introduces himself to Israel he says, ‘I am the anti-slavery God.’ “This theme comes up constantly in the Old Testament — I am the God who brought you out of…

The project took seven years. Important resource ODP is planning to launch the Hindi translation at their virtual annual convention on 20 November. A second…
