Dear Langham friends,
This is the time of the year when I usually write to the Langham Foundation friends and supporters around the world. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your interest in our work and faithful prayers support.
In spite of the challenges we are currently facing, I am delighted to share with you that all three Langham programmes of Scholarships, Literature and Preaching have continued to thrive beyond expectations. We are now providing scholarships for 15 theological students in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. The preaching movement is growing steadily under the leadership of a capable local coordinator who, not only organised the annual preaching seminar but also started 6 preaching fellowships in the big country. The highlight of the year must be given to the one-volume Chinese language Bible commentary which we have initiated. It is now making good progress with more than 40 theologians and scholars indicating an interest to participate.
Financially, we are facing a huge deficit due to the combination of social unrest last year and the threat of the virus outbreak this year. Langham Foundation would need to raise at least HK$2.5 million before June in order to pay our operational expenditure and meet our ministry commitments for 2020. I am therefore appealing to you for your prayers and generosity. If you agree with Uncle John (Stott)’s vision on investing and equipping Christian leaders in the developing world so that they can grow the church of God to maturity and be ready for mission, we would very much like to ask you to consider a love gift.
For this purpose, I am attaching a copy of the Donation Instruction Form which you can indicate in the form how you would like to give, by cheque, credit card or bank transfer. Should you wish to contribute by credit card and would like the gift to be within the current year for tax deduction purpose, please scan the completed form to me at victor.sun@langham.org, copied to the fundraising manager, Ms Karen Yeung at karen.yeung@langham.org, or fax to us at (852)3005-4498 before 30th March (Monday).

親愛的靈風之友：
每年到這時候，通常都是我給全球靈風基金之友及支持者寫信的時刻。我們為著你對我們工作的關心和忠心禱告的支持致以最由衷的感謝。
雖然我們正面對著眾多的挑戰，但我仍然歡喜能與你分享我們的學者、書籍和講道三個事工計劃所持續超過期望的消息。我們正在給現時處身於香港、英國、加拿大和美國的15位神學生提供學者獎學金。講道運動現正在能幹的當地協調員的領導下穩步發展。她不但籌劃每年的講道研習班，更在該大國中開展了六個講道人團契。而今年的重點莫過於由我們推動而且已有美好進展的一冊式中文聖經註釋計劃，並有40位神學家和學者表示有興趣參與。
財務上，因著去年社會的不穩和今年病毒擴散的威脅的混合交錯，我們正面對著巨額的赤字。靈風基金需要於本年六月前籌得不少於二百五十萬港幣才能支付我們的運作支出和滿足我們為著2020年所許下的事工承諾。因此，我謹在此向你發出禱告和慷慨的請求。如果你認同約翰叔叔（斯托得牧師）的異象，就是投放和裝備身處於發展中地區的基督徒領袖，好讓地們能培育上帝的教會過向成熟和為實踐使命裝備就緒，我們非常樂意請你考慮奉上一份愛心禮物。
