Langham’s work training and resourcing pastors around the world has adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In many cases, seminars are taking place over virtual platforms. Last year, a new group of 30 pastors in a sensitive region of South Asia began training with Langham. We praise God that these pastors were able to gather virtually. Their local pastor trainer shares:
“Praise God for the ability to use this new form of training, and pray that those who have attended will be equipped in their ministry of the Word!”
In the same South Asian region, where Christians are under pressure, Pastor Darma* is pointing people toward Christ, their purpose and hope. He says:
“My congregation is longing for the Word of God to strengthen them, to encourage them, and to give them something to hold on to.”
With support from Langham, Darma received training on how to study and teach God’s Word, and today he brings the hope of Christ to his people. His congregation is growing in number and maturity. Lives are changing.
Darma says: “My congregation says they now know that the purpose of their lives is to serve God. They have a new vision.”
This much we know: in these uncertain times, God’s Word is certain. And, it is urgently needed.
Thank you for your gifts and prayers—they are lifting up leaders in hard places around the world and helping them to reflect the love of Christ to those in need.
